Penta Prism, Penta Prisms, Penta Prism, Penta Prisms
The Penta Prism is a five-sided prism with two reflecting surfaces at 45° to each other. Penta prism can deviate an incident beam without inverting or reversing to 90°. The deviation angle of 90° is independent of any rotation of the prism about an axis parallel to the line of intersection of the two reflecting faces. It is suitable for applications require exact 90° deviation without the need to align the prism precisely. Penta Prism are commonly used in Plumb Level, Surveying, Alignment, Range finding and Optical Tooling. Features:
Coating: The reflecting surfaces of this Prism must be coated with a metallic or dielectric coating. The standard Penta Prism reflecting surfaces are coated with aluminum or enhanced aluminum. The entrance or exit faces can be either uncoated or anti reflection coated (AR coating) as required. Material: Conventional material used for fabricating Penta Prism is BK7 glass. Red Optronics can fabricate Penta Prism with custom materials if required. Specifications:
